Job Description: EMT / Paramedic (Travel Assignment)
Compensation: $1,960 – $2,160 per week (gross)

Assignment Duration: 3 months, with possibility for extension
Schedule:

Shifts vary from 8–48 hours depending on availability and operational needs

Typical weekly hours: 24–40

Day, night, and weekend shifts available

Scheduling is not guaranteed every week
Facility Amenities:

Two sleep rooms per EMS station, each with two beds
-
Mileage reimbursement provided

Equipped with Stryker and Lifepak 3000 devices
Key Responsibilities:
-
Provide care for 30–40 patients per month, working alongside 2–3 EMTs and 1 paramedic per shift
-
Maintain and clean ambulances; restock inventory and replace expired supplies
-
Perform general upkeep around the firehouse

Respond to EMS calls and provide patient care at the station

Transport patients to Socorro Medical Center or coordinate emergency air transport to UNM/Presbyterian in Albuquerque

Administer first-line medical care, including taking vitals, documenting medical histories, and assisting with detainee health needs

Ensure all medical orders from providers are followed

Coordinate detainee care and referrals with other staff and off-site providers

Document all patient and detainee interactions according to policy
-
Maintain readiness to respond to calls within 3–5 minutes
Requirements:
-
Minimum of one year of experience within the past 24 months
-
Hands-on experience with Stryker and Lifepak 3000 equipment

Experience in rural health or fire department EMS preferred
-
Applicants currently employed by Albuquerque Ambulance Service are not eligible
Certifications:
-
NREMT certification preferred
-
BLS/CPR required
-
ACLS (for Paramedics)

PALS (for Paramedics)
License:

Must reside in New Mexico and hold a valid NM EMT or Paramedic license
